Perfection

We keep trying endlessly to live a life that is perfect per our common societal norms. We have never really checked or ensured what does perfect mean?  Could it be just a state of mind or is it verdict based on functional processing or a way to alleviate our ego of completing tasks to perfection? I pass by each tree while on a walk and see no imperfection. I look at birds, squirrels, frogs, dogs, and flowers and they look complete even with deficiencies. Why do my eyes look for deficiency in humans? Why do I become so judgemental? Conceivably it's the transparency that nature offers us, there's nothing to hide for plants and mammals but with us, humans hiding and lying to oneself has given rise to our delusion of a perfect life.

Okay in the end

It's weird that we expect everything should be okay only towards the end. We have conditioned our minds that struggle is imperative to achieve personal growth. Why do we expect that we will be okay in the future? Why not now?  Our stories too are based on a narrative of beginning (creating a plot), middle (arrival of conflict, struggle), end (finding a way out). Is it possible to change the narrative and find peace, love, and tranquility always?

Self-Love

Selfless love is rare hence invaluable. Before we begin with it, it is crucial to cultivate self-love. Learning to stop being hard with oneself, accepting and understanding mistakes without guilt, enhancing skills with a mindset to grow and not lack of it. I wish every Mother could start with self-love. Happy Mother's Day!

Evolving Everyday

We as humans, keep learning and changing every single day of our lives. Some days, we are striving for growth, and the other days we want to unlearn everything and rest for a while. Are we really the same person that we were yesterday? Are we all not unconsciously creating and evolving ourselves every single day?

Work helps

Working through these lockdown days is essential. To keep busy doing office, household, or creative work may save us from scary thoughts and pandemic nightmares but it fails to save us from toxic people, mindsets, and culture. The fact still remains when we engage ourselves deeply in some meaningful work, it becomes easy to pass each day despite toxicity around and within us. Work does seem to be a blessing in disguise for the past two months.

Work Life Crisis

Going through a work-life crisis makes one feel completely shattered, unwanted, and useless of the top order. All of a sudden, the sense of belonging, self-worth disappears and one tries to look through various job profiles and descriptions with nothing to suit their limited skill set or at least the presumed limited skill set.  Frustration, confusion, anxiety, low self-esteem, seem to become new unavoidable best friends. A person in the crisis struggles to find oneself through all these but eventually finds the purpose.  There is a way out of it and sooner or later everyone bounces back. After all the best battles are fought and won within. Best wishes and speedy recovery to those struggling with it.
